Why is my skin Hyperpigmented?
Hyperpigmentation occurs when excess melanin is produced in certain areas due to damaged skin cells, making those areas noticeably darker than the surrounding skin. It can present as dark spots, melasma, or age spots, often triggered by sun exposure, acne scars, or hormonal changes. Inconsistent skincare practices and the use of harsh products can also aggravate the condition, leaving the skin with visible discoloration.
